Crisis intervention and prevention is a critically fundamental aspect of our
profession. It’s important to demonstrate skills that show we can be responsive to
clients and families in community or institutional setting when an emergency arises.
It’s just as important to develop screening practices that may help avert a crisis from
happening altogether. When we are able to put this expertise into practice, results
lead to an enhancement of service delivery.
